Practice Solutions for Basic Skills Exams

There are lots of choices for teaching basic skills exams in the United States. It's important to consider all of the options that are available. The exams we're talking about range in type, but they include the challenging Praxis I, APTTP, AEPA, CBEST, CSET, PLACE, FTCE, CLAST, GACE, ICTS, MTTC, and WEST-B basic skills tests.
There are many options for these exams. Mo-Media is one to consider, they offer many solutions for many different industries. Flashcard Secrets is another option that is worth considering. Our personal favorite is TeachRite. This tool is developed by teachers and includes a simple interface that tracks your results as you go along. It includes animated study guides, slick graphics, and guarantees that you'll achieve the minimum score for your specific exam. TeachRite is a powerful system that should at least be considered during your study preparation.
Whatever you do, take these exams seriously. States and schools want to be sure that you're ready to handle the youth of America, and there are often long long waiting periods in between test attempts. One bad day could delay your career by months. Good luck!

Massage Exam Knowledge

Aspiring massage therapists will ultimately be faced with taking a national certification massage exam like the NCETM, NCETMB, or MBLEx. Although not required by every state, these exams are nevertheless important for most therapists as they give good credibility to your career. Further, national certification allows you to move between states with ease.

There are lots of things to think about with your exam, and our recommendation is that you consider preparing for your test with an online test prep service. There are several out there, but our favorite is Massage Prep.

Massage Prep was created by experienced massage therapists who understand the demands placed on today’s busy students. Between jobs and family, students must attend a rigorous class schedule while still fulfilling their practical experience requirements. With all these demands, there’s hardly any time left for proper study techniques. Furthermore, the challenging National Certification Exam can rattle people’s nerves with its comprehensive format.

Massage Prep helps you practice the skills you’ve learned, all from the comfort of your own home. The online Learning Management System contains several practice exams that help teach you along the way. Many practice questions are application-based, meaning they cover the tangible skills recommended by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic and Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. In fact, the entire Massage Prep system was carefully designed to the rigorous standards of the NCETM, NCETMB, and MBLEx exams.

With over 2200 practice questions, Massage Prep is a learning management system that prepares you for the NCETM, NCETMB, and MBLEx exams. By including both practice questions and final exam simulations, you’ll be well prepared to pass this challenging exam. What’s more, Massage Prep allows you to practice in front of a computer, the same way in which you take the NCETM, NCETMB, and MBLEx exams. Best of all, Massage Prep is priced to fit any budget.

Massage Prep was created by a team of experts including Licensed Massage Therapists and e-Learning professionals. The goal of Massage Prep is to make licensure easier for busy students.
Currently there are over 2200 questions and answers included with the system. They cover everything needed to successfully pass the National Massage Certification Test. Subjects include Pathology, Hydro Therapy and Massage Ethics, to name just a few. View all the major subjects here.

The actual National Certification Exam is administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Please visit their website for more information or call 1-800-296-0664.

Whatever you do, make sure you take your massage test seriously. Study all of the terms. Two areas that students tend to struggle with are the Oriental Modalities and Anatomy subjects. Yes, there's lots to memorize, but if clients are to take you seriosuly and rely on you for their overall health and well-being, it's imperative that you know this stuff.

In the end, if you study and are prepared for the big exam, a successful career will be yours.
